Mrs. Connie Osborn

My name is Connie Osborn.  I was born and raised in Indiana.  I received an Associate Degree in nursing from Indiana University, and, after moving to Texas, I enrolled at TCU to obtain a Bachelor of Science in nursing.

I have had a wide range of nursing experience.  I have worked as a nurse in pediatrics, emergency room, medical-surgical and ICU.  I have held management positions as a staff nurse, charge nurse, and supervisor.  Before I took a leave from nursing to start a family, I was the head nurse in a Coronary Care Unit at Harris Hospital.  
 
While raising three daughters, I was a stay-at-home mother and community volunteer, chairing projects such as Mayfest and Tarrant Area Canned Food Drive. I also volunteered at Alexander Vision Center, screening school age children for glasses, gaining skills that I have used in my present job as school nurse.   

I was also the caregiver for ten years for three of my eight grandchildren.  I drove carpool, took them to museums, played games and applied bandaids.  It was this experience of caring for my grandchildren that made me decide to work with children.  I applied at FWISD.  This is my fourth year as school nurse at RALC.
