Ms. MaryEllen Brown

I was born and raised in Fort Worth and attended three FWISD schools - Westcliff Elementary, William James Middle School, and Paschal High School.  I stayed local for college and graduated in 2000 from Texas Wesleyan University with a degree is in Early Childhood Education with ESL.  My dream was to teach kindergarten but soon found out that pre-k was the place to be!  I moved to Minnesota and spent 4 years teaching first grade and pre-k.  In 2006, I graduated with a Masters Degree in Library and Information Science from a school in St Paul, Minnesota, the College of St Catherine.  While I loved teaching pre-k, there is something magical about being in the library.  I enjoy getting to know everyone in the school and love introducing new books to students.  

I live in Fort Worth with my dogs, Motown and Gidget.  I am very close to my dad; you may have seen him volunteering in the library on Wednesdays!  Be sure to stop by and say hi to Mr Brown when he is here.  In my spare time, I enjoy cross-stitching, quilting, participating in triathlons, and (of course!) reading!!!
