Ms. Makayla Brannen

I am from a small town in Texas called Centerville located in Leon County. I earned my Bachelors of Science in Psychology and a minor in art from Tarleton State University. After graduating, I moved to Fort Worth to continue my education through Tarleton State University to get my Masters of Science for Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am projected to graduate in May 2024. I received my teaching certificate through Texas Teachers of Tomorrow.
I believe everybody is an artist and I am very fortunate to be able to encourage students to discover, acknowledge, and enhance their natural artistic abilities. I love being the art teacher and seeing the positive impact art brings to the students, staff, and the community.
I am happy to be able to be a part of this community in helping shape the artists of tomorrow.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy traveling, painting, sewing, reading, and spending time with my family.
